My name is Grace Henderson, & I am a graphic designer and stylist based in New York.

I grew up in a small town in Tennessee and was raised to appreciate crafts that stand the test of time and build up the communities that surround them. Quilting, mending, and sewing toy doll clothing were my introduction to the artisanal world. These were skills passed down generationally, teaching not only craft and creation, but the value of taking one’s time to produce high-quality work and building a sense of community through art. I prioritize care, craftsmanship, and quality, and I strive to produce work that holds value over time and encourages meaningful interaction. 

Purposeful minimalism informs my creative process. I seek to draw attention toward objects and space through thoughtful simplicity, a deep care for detail, and an understanding of the ways in which people will perceive and interact with my work. Through my work in graphic design, spatial design, and styling, I find inspiration in the concepts of zen design and wabi sabi. I am informed by the interaction between people, nature, and space to build aesthetic harmony. I appreciate a raw, human touch that serves as a reminder of the inherent human element ever-present in design that is easily overlooked in today’s quickly-shifting world.

Design Bio

Grace Henderson is a graphic designer and stylist. Her work in graphic design centers on evolving and honoring the identity of brands through strategic asset development for web, email, and social media. Grace’s educational career began with an AAS degree from the Fashion Institute of Technology in Fashion Design. Her work has been featured in both Primadonna Magazine and the Runway27 10th Anniversary Fashion Show. Through her BFA degree in Fabric Styling from the Fashion Institute of Technology, Grace has honed her skills in both marketing and visual storytelling through 3D modeling, graphic design, trend forecasting, and styling for both fashion and home. Her graphic design work has been published by Blush Magazine. She is skilled in the Adobe Suite, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Blender 3D. Grace’s devotion to communication and storytelling is also seen in her writing work, as she holds a Minor Degree in English Writing. Throughout her educational career, she was both a fashion journalist for HerCampus and a creative fiction writer.

Grace began as an E-commerce intern with luxury boutique, Kirna Zabete, before being promoted to Freelance Graphic Designer in August 2022. Throughout this job, she has also gained experience in both social media content creation and editorial styling assistance. Most recently, Grace has begun a marketing and social media internship with Yeon, a sustainable, slow-fashion luxury brand that prioritizes craftsmanship, quality, and waste minimization. Through her work experience, Grace has proven her ability to use beautiful visuals and strong copywriting in a strategic way to represent the aesthetic identity of the brands she works with while increasing social media engagement and website interaction. Grace hopes to continue her work in the luxury fashion industry by helping brands to effectively portray their identity and mission through strong visual storytelling and effective language.
