Runway27 Feature: The Judith Gown
Designed and created by myself, the Judith Gown was inspired by Caravaggio’s Judith Beheading Holofernes. In the painting, a townswoman uses her femininity and wit to free her fellow townspeople from the occupation of a warring tribe. The garment is constructed entirely of gauze muslin, creating a garment that is both delicate and understated. The arching lines and skintight shape honor the innate beauty of the feminine silhouette.
The gown was selected to be the opening look for the Delight Segment of Runway 27’s 10th Anniversary Runway Show entitled Synergy. It was also selected to be one of 4 garments out of hundreds of applicants for Runway 27’s 10th Anniversary editorial photoshoot.
